Practice attentive listening, inhibitory control, and following oral directions.

Classroom setup

Plan about 3–8 min for this activity. It works best with whole class, with the game displayed where every learner can see the prompts. Before the first turn, review the controls and tell students how they should respond while another player is at the board. Listen for evidence of listening and movement as students explain their choices.

Teacher tips

  • Demonstrate one valid and one trick command first.
  • Keep elimination optional so every child stays active.
  • Increase difficulty with two-step directions.
